Biography

Opheril Elushael (Moonquill) was born in 987 BDP in Dalaran, the middle child of seven in a quel’dorei family long settled there as archivists and tutors aligned with the Kirin Tor. He lost most of his family during the Fall of Quel’Thalas. Trained in non-frontline magic, Opheril served the Kirin Tor for most of his life in maintenance, archival, and logistical roles, later seeing limited field service during the Pandaria campaign and the Legion’s invasion. He refused participation in the purge of sin’dorei from Dalaran and severed ties with the Kirin Tor as its authority collapsed.With Dalaran destroyed and the Kirin Tor dissolved, Opheril is currently unmoored from any formal institution. He now roams with Sraeth, working quietly through a clandestine network focused on aiding displaced and overlooked individuals, enduring without seeking recognition.

Military Experience

A back-line support mage by calling rather than glory, Opheril spent major conflicts reinforcing others; enchanting weapons, weaving wards, and teleporting soldiers to and from the front lines under Kirin Tor command. Those who fought in the Pandaria campaign, the defense of the Broken Isles, or at Teldrassil may recognize him as the calm figure working just beyond the chaos.

Kaldorei Involvement

During the War of Thorns and the Fourth War, he fought alongside the kaldorei due to personal ties, later standing with them in Bel’ameth and settling there for a while. Those dwelling in Amirdrassil may have seen him moving quietly through its boughs.

Kirin Tor

A former member of the Kirin Tor, he spent most of his life in Dalaran before leaving the order during the Purge; refusing to raise his magic against the innocent, even at the cost of everything he had known.
